The new Xbox 360 is more than a cutting-edge game system. With fully-customizable gaming and entertainment support, the Xbox flawlessly integrates high-definition video, DVD playback, digital music, photos and Internet access in one easy-to-use package.

The Xbox comes with a black wireless controller and black Xbox LIVE headset. It is also equipped with three powerful core processors, 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio, anti-aliasing for smooth textures, full surround sound, and a 12x dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, which plays game media and progressive-scan DVD movies. The new Xbox guide button on your 360 controller provides instant access to the Xbox 360 user interface. From there, you can see which of your friends are online, browse your digital photos, listen to digital music files and so much more. This console can support up to four wireless controllers and has three USB 2.0 slots which can be used for wired controllers or  transferring media from your digital camera, MP3 player or Windows-based PC.  Microsoft has also created a video-conferencing camera (sold separately) that will work with the system.

Titles can be played in standard or high-definition resolution in 16:9 widescreen, with anti-aliasing for smoother textures, movie-like graphics and multi-channel surround sounds. Support for digital music files means you can  customize your gaming experience by swapping any game's music with tracks from your own personal library.

A built-in Ethernet port allows you to connect your Xbox to broadband for access to the new Xbox Live Silver. This included service lets you create a Gamertag and Gamercard that embodies your online identity. You can chat with friends, connect with voice chat and peruse the Xbox Live Marketplace where you can buy expansions, maps and other digital items for your games. The optional subscription service to Xbox Live Gold adds another level of support including online multiplayer support, game stats and video chat/messaging.
